MarkGood Goodreview, thanks. Wouldn't it be more electronically correct to say that the "pulse" energy for the the spot weld is supplied by the capacitor that you have to solder in? Plenty of people run these off 5 Amp bench power supplies that never get near 200 Amps. For me that capacitor is the weak link, it is highly stressed and should be of excellent quality, if it dies the MOSFETS will smoke due to incorrect voltage biasing. My first GEEKCREIT board was dead on arrival. I will probably double up the discharge capacitor as a safety precaution on the next board.
