Q: does the 20v PD output work with 12V input?

stefansi No,it looks like it requires 24V input for full 30W PD output (it powers macbook pro, but its battery is not being charged, unlike with a 220V AC 30W PD charger)

Works as expected. I use this short cable with powerbank and an older phone.

Tested on MacBook Pro 2017: Charges slowly when in use WITHOUT any external monitor. If external monitor (4k, 60Hz) is connected the MacBook Pro will DISCHARGE very slowly
