Ian** Its used to allow you to connect to a long wire antenna. Connect the black connector to Ground.

Ian** There is a red switch is on the back, you canselect either 230 or 110VAC.

Ian** 5.1digital signals would be found in a HDMI cable not on a RS232 to USB connector.
