Received in good packaging and perfect condition. I'm very impressed with the device and the functions it packs in such a neat handheld package. The display is clear, bright and easy to read. Battery life more than sufficient for most use cases. The only remarks I have so far are: - The usage of the cursor keys can be confusing at times and needs a bit of getting used to. - Being a 2-channel oscilloscope, there really should be a 2nd probe included in the package (it comes with a single probe). The pictures show what's in the package, the device itself, and the process of probe compensation.

The probe seems to be of good build quality. The cable is soft and pliable, making it easy to manipulate and move around. Bought it as the second probe for my OWON HDS2102 oscilloscope, so I can compare it to the original OWON probe. They are very similar in terms of design and build with one exception: the BNC connector of P6100 is NOT insulated, so I would not recommend using it for any high voltage measurements. The performance in terms of signal quality seems to be very similar to the OWON probe. The pictures show the front and back of the packaging, the probe itself with zoom on the BNC connector as well as comparison with the OWON probe (OWON is light gray, P6100 is dark grey).

Good value for money, good quality picture and touch sensitivity. Great for compact, self-contained projects such as smart home controllers, smart thermostats, digital peepholes and similar. One thing I dislike is the lack of any control of backlight -- it's always on with full brightness. Requires some HW hacking and add-on components to make it adjustable.

Q: Can the back light be turned on/off? If so is it software controllable?

ZZZip No,it cannot. It is hard-wired to a fixed brightness, and stays lit as long as power is connected to the Raspberry Pi. This is, in my opinion, the biggest issue with this display.
