Q: the manual states that in the range 0-800 °C the error is ± (1.5% reading + 2°C), it makes me strange that + 2°C, it seems a fairly high error, especially when compared with products included more cheap .... is it a mistake?

The cable is of good quality, soft, good for self-construction of cables for multimeter, 600 V (not 1000 V), I have verified that the conductor is not magnetic (it is not iron!), scraping the tin part shows the inner part copper-colored ... so I think it's actually tinned copper. I recommend this product, it would have been better to have a cable tested at 1000 V and not @600 V .

The cable is of good quality, soft, good for self-construction of cables for multimeter, 600 V (not 1000 V), I have verified that the conductor is not magnetic (it is not iron!), scraping the tin part shows the inner part copper-colored ... so I think it's actually tinned copper. I recommend this product, it would have been better to have a cable tested at 1000 V and not @600 V .

Q: It does not seen to be copper conductor, what is it ?

Brunix I scraped the surface of the conductor, I can say that it is: tinned-copper and no-magnetic material (no iron!), I also had this doubt, and it was the first thing I checked when I received the cable

Q: what humidity is measured by the device? Air or point of measurement of temperature?

It works well, nothing to say, the only thing to keep in mind is the measurement error: Across the full scale, from -50 °C to +550 °C, the error is ± (1.5% reading + 2 ° C). For example, a surface at 25 °C will be read with an error of (1.25 x 25/100) + 2 ° C = ± 2.4 ° C . That is, when the instrument reads by pointing, 25 °C, the TRUE VALUE of the temperature, will be between 22.6 ° C and 27.4 ° C. If precision is not an important fact, but you want to have an order of magnitude, then this tool is fine. It seems to have a discrete "measurement repeatability", but you have to leave the instrument for 30 minutes in the environment, so that the components reach thermal equilibrium (like any electronic instrument, on the other hand). I find it interesting and very useful that the instrument shows the circumference where the average reading will be performed.
