BG943134211 They are not threaded in the jig. It is a bush with a grub screw on the side to secure the bush. The bush has a 14mm OD so you could make bushes 12mm if you have a lathe but they won’t be very strong. Hope this helps

Q: How can this be used to make 8mm*25mm *mortises*, not dowels?

BG463980531 Yes,with your compact router, in my case, you would be able to make mortise while securing the piece. You can do Dowels, too, making this tool versatile. In the USA, you only find the dowels made well, but only for dowels, this one made for both. Remember, this is made out of aluminum, so you can't compare it to steel or metal dowel jigs in terms of usage. I got it for the mortise and will make more of the template myself using the one it came with it.
