Vince Evidently it is to set the output voltage to 0v when the output potentiometer (10K Pot marked 'V' on the board) is in it's minimum position. Have you not downloaded the PDF instructions for building this PSU?? I haven't built mine yet, but the PDF tells you all the info about it including the above setup method.

vaklev Software can not rise the resolution. The softuare can only interpolate, but it is not higher quality!

vaklev I think for soldering iron its more than enough. If you want more, go buy Weller. They are more accurate....
