Q: What does 80X100 mean ?? Is this a Chinese number?

mariozoller For example, the 10x50 designation means that there is a 10X magnification and a lens diameter of 50mm. The magnification number is the quotient of lens focal length and eyepiece focal length. A 10x magnification means that the image appears 10 times larger than the naked eye. But as you can see the lens diameter is only 40mm, not 100mm. I think 80x100 is just a name.
