Q: is it able to fix something with this nut to a V Slot (or T slot) Aluminium bar?

thescienceguy No,These are only for use in wood. They will not fit into the Tslot or V slot

Q: Does this run on 24v or 12v. The power supply blew and claims its 24v. On opening we saw how bodgy the contence looked. Random cut wires, a normal power supply plug just radomly inside and not being used just pushed out the way and rewired. So im not sure i believe the 24v claim. Does this run on 12v or 24v so i can wire up a different power supply for the mechine.

thescienceguy From what I have been able determine the machine runs on 12volts, but to get the best results from the spindle you need 24 volts. (I believe I read the spindle works on 12V-36V, but the voltage determines the max rpm). I have tested the machine on 12V and the stepper motors work.
