Simo I don't know if the phones or tablets has an input mic, To use this microphone it is necessary to connect both the plugs, the jack and also the usb. The usb can be connect also in a powerbank if you use for example am electric guitar

Simo It is necessary to connect the jack and also the USB plug otherwise is don't work. For your info I connect che USB plug to a powerbank (the same used for a mobile phones) and the audio jack to a Fender ampli ( audio IN) and it work
