Harish06 you can find the adoptor for this separately, it's works on 2 AA size battery, 1.5x2= 3 volt. the given adopter converts DC volt of battery to ac and makes this light work.

Harish06 it's works on battery, the given adopter converts DC of battery to high voltage ac and makes this light to work
