In my review I refer to the Xiaomi Mijia LCD Writing Tablet in the 13.5 inch (screen diagonal) version. The device is an LCD panel, on which one can draw or write with the help of a supplied pen. The device is reminiscent, except for the technical background, of the Magic Boards from our childhood. The size is sufficient to write, for example, three skat rounds or to solve a third-degree whole-national equation with the help of polynomial division or to write down the refrain of "You are a miracle". If desired, the screen can be deleted directly at the push of a button. However, there is also a block button that can be used to prevent the contents of the screen from being removed by accidentally pressing the delete button. However, there is no active illumination, meaning that you cannot use the device in the dark or read it then. The power source of the device is a C2025 button cell. Including shipping, one pays around 30 €for the device (as of the end of May 2020). And in this I see actually the crux of the device. Because what exactly does one want with it? Write a few notes or paint the life energy of the Pen & Paper role-play and save paper? I think the device is really quite funny, but is it really worth the 30 €to me? Alternatively, the device is also available in a 10 inch version at half price. But on the display you can hardly get anything under.

In meiner Bewertung beziehe ich mich auf das Xiaomi Mijia LCD Writing Tablet in der 13,5 Zoll (Bildschirmdiagonale) Variante. Bei dem Gerät handelt es sich um ein LCD Panel, auf dem man mit Hilfe eines mitgelieferten Stift zeichnen oder schreiben kann. Das Gerät erinnert, bis auf den technischen Hintergrund, den Magic Boards aus unserer Kindheit. Die Größe reicht dabei aus, um z.B. drei Skatrunden anzuschreiben oder eine ganzrationale Gleichung dritten Grades mit Hilfe von Polynomdivision zu lösen bzw. den Refrain von "Du bist ein Wunder" aufzuschreiben. Der Bildschirm lässt sich auf Wunsch per Knopfdruck direkt löschen. Es gibt aber auch eine Blockadetaste, mit deren Hilfe man vrehindern kann, dass der Inhalt des Bildschirms durch versehentliches drücken der Löschtaste entfernt wird. Eine aktive Beleuchtung liegt aber nicht vor, heißt, man kann das Gerät nicht im Dunkeln verwenden bzw. es dann nicht ablesen. Die Energiequelle des Geräts ist eine C2025 Knopfzelle. Inklusive Versand zahlt man (Stand: Ende Mai 2020) um die 30 € für das Gerät. Und darin sehe ich eigentlich auch den Knackpunkt des Geräts. Denn was genau will man damit eigentlich? Ein paar Notizen schreiben oder die Lebensenergie beim Pen & Paper Rollenspiel streichen und dabei Papier sparen? Ich finde das Gerät wirklich ganz witzig, aber ist mir der Jux wirklich die 30 € wert? Alternativ gibt es das Gerät auch noch in einer 10 Zoll Variante zum halben Preis. Aber auf dem Display kriegt man dann wirklich kaum was unter.
