This is one of the best remote thermometers on the market today. (1) The most significant feature is the 8 - channels, which can display the temperature and humidity from 8 locations. (2) It displays 4 sensors at one time, which is more than other base stations, and handy not having to scroll or scan, with a changing display. Although, it does have a scroll feature if you want to view all 8 channels. (3) I have not been able to conclusively test the advertised range numbers of 30 - metres and 100 - metres, so far the sensors are transmitting well up to 30 - metres and through 3 or 4 wooden walls. No doubt any metal walls, or possibly steel studs might seriously reduce the strength of signal getting to the base station. (4) The alarm feature, of high and low, and separately on all eight channels is valuable and different from many other such systems on the market. Usually a person who is monitoring temperatures is wanting to protect against a dangerous temp occurring. This product lets you set your alarm numbers. (5) I have not had the system long enough to indicate battery life. But I would anticipate at least one - year.
