I am very pleased with the brightness if these bulbs and they replaced the larger halogen that require much mire energy to burn.

I have downlight fittings that only take R63 size bulbs. These bulbs fit perfectly - including length. I purchased one White and one Warm White to compare. The Warm White makes the remaining incandescent bulbs look yellow whilst still being a warm white. It is a good compromise. The White bulb is very white - not blue or green. Good for workspace or kitchen but not living or bedroom areas. Both white and warm white are about same brightness (no loss by going with warm white) and are slightly brighter than the 40w incandescent bulb. I just ordered more Warm White one. The White will be moved to the Kitchen.

The build quality is excellent and there is no flicker. They are bright but only draw 4W instead of 5W. Sadly the CRI is very low which makes the light seem a little green. For basement or garage light maybe useful but not for home.
