The precision was checked by placing the blocks side by side on a dead flat surface. They are absolutely parallel. The center hole and 4 surrounding holes on the front face of each block are threaded. Matching bolts and an Allen wrench are provided in the package. The plastic box housing these precision blocks is of medium quality and the latch is very ordinary. I will transfer these blocks to a wooden box with soft lining asap!

I regret buying this. The bolts are only good for attaching something else to either block. They cannot be used to attach the blocks together. This is because the threads on one side of the block are not aligned with the threads on the other side, so a bolt cannot go through a block. It will go only halfway through as in the second photo. Also the non-threaded holes are not large enough to allow the supplied bolts to pass through. The blocks themselves are okay, and the plastic case is sturdy, but the reason one would purchase this more expensive set is to use the bolts to combine the blocks in various orientations. So it's money down the drain for me.
