These are actually very good when you fully understand what they were intended for. They are intended as individual letters for a sign. That is why there are not enough led's to actually fill the board of 49 positions, there are only 40 led's supplied. Lots of fun. I liked that there were absolutely no instructions. Not even Chinese. It works great. Kit came short 10 leds. I ordered more 5mm common cathode leds to fill out the matrix. Hope i tested correctly and they aren't supposed to be common anode type.
