The good: Better range, battery life, camera resolution and durability than its nearest equivalent from DJI, the Phantom 3 Standard. Much more user-serviceable than the DJI drones, for instance the gimbal can be removed and replaced etc. Deals with windy days excellently. The bad: Slightly dodgy android app, intermittent compass issues, occasional gimbal tilt issues, and connection worries. Oh, and all that stability comes with a price - it's slightly bigger than the Phantom 3. If you're willing to mess about a little bit to make sure it works, this is the best you're going to get for this price. I smacked it into a tree branch and it landed in a bush the other week, but it still flies happily. Configured correctly, the automatic return home will head to the height you specify then land. If I'm really nitpicking the app could be better programmed, but it does have lots more configurability than it used to.
