I have a canon 80D camera and this fits it perfectly. There is enough room to extend it to the side to fit in a cable shutter release if you want. It also has the stops so that it won't accidently slide off the tripod head. It also fits both my ball head and pan head mounts for my tripod and monopod. The only minor inconvenience is the screw attaching I to the camera is a bit difficult to use, but not bad enough to cause a problem.

Have been looking for a kind of L-plate like this,but the price kept pushing me back....At this price,there is no excuse anymore to "not buy" this plate.I am glad I did....Nothing more easy to go from horizontal to vertical with no "recalibrating"...Everyone with a tripod and serious about his/her photography,should have this plate.All thats left to get,is the quickadapter/ballhead and You"re set....
