This is a smashing little fan that requires no power supply or batteries at all. It runs from a Peltier thermo electric plate, which converts heat from the top of the log burner into electricity for the fan. The fan is small and not powerful so it should be safe with children in the area if supervised. The fan pushes warm air forwards and around the room instead of having it rise to the ceiling. Good value!
