Fantastic toy for the home school kids. Demonstrate: 1. Energy transfer.....current to the coil primary....secondary coil Magnetic Field collapse and arc discharge.....IONIzed Air Particles alighting fluorescent light (even large fluorescent tubes) 2. Spark Gap Radio.....haha what fun like an AM RADIO....hear songs via the spark 3. Kit Building skills Tips: Same principle as car ignition coil.....Voltage amplification is determined by coil ratio. 1: 350 gives best results. Don't need the full length of wire supplied. Second tip: Don't clip off legs of transistors....use the legs to solder transistors elevated above the PCB Third tip: Mount Fan from video card....great way to enhance the heat sinks and protect the transistors. Simple way to demonstrate important principles in very accessible way.....BANGGOOD.....Great!!!
