This is a very straight-forward device, and works out of box. The mode selection is done with a jumper beside the 'learning' button. You don't have to worry about putting the jumper in the wrong location, it won't damage the device. I liked this as soon as I tested it! In the third picture, the jumper is on the two left pins. This is toggle mode. Pressing a button on the remote will toggle the respective relay; click once to turn on, click again to turn off. If the jumper is removed, it is in non-lock mode, where each relay is activated only while you are holding down the remote button. You can hold down multiple buttons to activate multiple relays at the same time. (I imagine very good application would be for a remote-controlled vehicle) When the jumper is on the two right-side pins, it is in interlock mode. Powering on the device starts with non of the relays on, but when you press one button, its relay turns on. When you click a different button, the first relay turns off and the new on turns on. In this mode, after you click the first button, there is always one relay activated, and only one can be activated at a time. The wiring is very easy. I'm not sure what the power requirements are, but it runs just fine on a 12VDC 300mA wall-plug adapter that I had. The relay's poles are completely isolated from the control voltage. Double throw-single pole relays.
