My experience was the opposite, whilst LED flashes and speaker beeps appeared to work, it would continuously dump full current as soon as electrodes touched. It was very exciting :D but you definitely want to test first without being near a battery, and wear safety glasses!
Had much better luck with the newer spot welder now available, which is currently same price and has red cover, much larger cap and a screen to control power output level at a finer level. That is working well for me.
FLCC77 same issue. always on and not pulsing
Reply 05/09/2020Ron I have same issue. LED flashes, buzzer beeps, but no power at welding tips. Unlike you, I'm not willing to rework it to get it to work. I expected to be purchasing a working unit - not something I have to hack around with.
Reply 24/09/2020BG441117551 I have a replacement one and both the same light on NO pulsing

Reply 05/02/2021Kläuser @BG441117551 Iface the same issue. The green light is steady on. If I press the button for more than 3s, the led flashes and I hear beeps but there is no pulsing. Instead, the led goes back into steady light. If I try to weld, the LED flashes and the beeps are there but it does not work. Afterwards the led light is always on again.
