These work brilliantly for open/close contact sensors, especially when paired with a Sonoff RF Bridge hacked with Tasmota/Portisch firmware which sends MQTT messages to your home automation software. I have 8 of these now on all external doors. You do have to position the 2 sensors carefully to ensure they get triggered for open/close. They work best mounted horizontally on ranch sliders. Only downside is aesthetics, it would be nice is if they offered these in various colours to match my door colours (even grey and black would be better than white)
