Bought this to replace an old XML XinTD C8 which I've had for years. This host is smaller, has much better grips, and more thermal mass in the head, excellent! The quality of the anodizing is great and I love the colour. Machining is good, it feels very high quality despite its price. There is a slight gap where the tailcap meets the body, I thought at first that I'd not screwed it together tight enough or that there was some internal obstruction but looking at the product pictures you can see the gap on there. I find this pretty strange considering the flush and perfect nature of the other threaded componentes, it doesn't look right and I really don't think this was a deliberate design feature. But it's no big deal, these things happen! I bought this as a host so I chose the cheapest Convoy C8+ available. With that in mind the driver/emitter are not important to me but they're not to my liking. The Biscotti firmware is just okay, I appreciate having so much choice but really I think it's excessive and a chore to get setup. And the V2-1A emitter is way too cool/blue. All in all, excellent C8 host.
