After reading some mixed reviews on what's needed for a 10M strip of EL lights. I can safely that this will easily power up to 10M length of EL wire. The HV transformer does have a audible frequency oscillation in it. Frequency depends a bit on the color you connect as well. But it's very soft and only really audible when paying close attention to it, so nothing very bothersome at all.

pros.: works fine, 3 modes, easy to switch. cons: makes a pretty weird high sound while it's working.
