Right out of the box, I could not get my satellite to bind. It appeared it had no power. I confirmed the polarity is right (by the way, the picture shows it wrong!). Thinking I had a dud satellite, I used another receiver I had to bind it. Sure enough the satellite works fine when paired with an OrangeRX reciever. The issue is with the power output of the main receiver to the satellite port. If you power up the main receiver without the satellite attached, you get a steady 3.24 volts at the satellite port. If, however, you try to power a satellite with it, the voltage drops to zero immediately, and does not return. So, I thought I'd just use the main receiver on it's own, with no satellite. It has 2 antenna, it should work reasonably well. NOPE. it passed a range check ok, but my plane started losing connection when I was just 50 yards out. I brought the plane back immediately, landed it, and threw the main receiver in the garbage. It's junk. I'm not sure if I just got a dud with a bad sat port AND poor reception, or if they are all like this. Whatever the reason, I'm not buying another one. I will, however, buy the sat receivers on their own. I have 4 of them now, they all work great, just not with this main receiver.
