the pliers have a spring-back function, the sharpness is sufficient to cut thin plastic.

These are very good pliers. Machining and joint fit are very good. Work smoothly and jaws align perfectly with no gaps. However, these are not for any wire other than soft copper, aluminum, silver and or plastic parts such as model kits. Cutting steel will instantly deform cutting edge. See photo. Recommend for electronics, electrical or crafts. RC modelers that work with music wire for landing gear need pliers with much harder cutting jaws. Good value for price.
