These lights work well as long as you supply power at both ends of the LED strip. I put them around the ceiling in a room and connected both ends to the power supply. without this, the voltage would drop and color and intensity would be affected. if you are not installing them in a loop, then you should install a parallel wire to inject power along the way or at the end of the strip. they got the job done at the end
