However, I see that the charger and many of the 21V Li-ion battery packs available are prominently labelled with a "Vf" value rather than the pack 21V output voltage and capacity. The range of "Vf" labelled packs includes 36, 48,88,98,and 288. The term "Vf" is not defined anywhere on the web, other than filament voltage of radio valves and forward voltage of diodes. It looks likely that that it is a derived figure, rather than a battery type, made-up to confuse the unwary buyer. What does it mean ... how is it derived?
