The product arrived before predicted time, it had all the indicted parts and performs satisfactorily. The tracking information is totally non-existent. Using the provided 12v-5amp supply, the voltage measured 10 volts at 2.5 amperes current at full power (25 watts input for an 5 watt rated laser). I used a control board marked CAMTOOL CNC v3.3 which has both pwm modes -plus for laser or minus for laser on. The red socket is the one I used. As the cnc grbl 1.1 control board board rates the 12v output at 2 amps maximum, I am using the provided power supply and using a two connecter cable to connect from the laser control (the separate socket) to the CNC3018 unit. Of course you should connect the pwm line and a ground return line from the laser control to the laser control. For esthetic reasons I used a pin to disconnect the unused pwm line from the 3 pin laser control board power plug. The laser at full power will cut 3mm plywood with 4 passes consistently. The plywood used was listed as 1/8 inch thick by 12 inches by 24 inches at a well known hobby shop. The laser spacing was 50 mm from the plywood surface and feed was 240mm per minute. Different wood material may require a different number of passes. As I had modified my machine to a 30cm x 30 cm table ( Y axis travel must change) I was able to make a complete FabscanPi box using the drawing for 4mm thick material which must be available in Europe.I used Estlcam software to make an engraving file and used Notepad to edit the Feedrate to 240 mm/min and make sure the feed rate was in excess of 255. Using LaserGRBL software, I made certain that the grbl 1.1 firmware specified #30 value was 255 and $32 value was 1. I regard the unit as perhaps plug-n-play only with the EleksMaker engravers with the qualifier that you had better know your operation and safety requirements.
