My application was to drive a 12v 10 watt COB LED for camping where the input can range from 12v-15v. I was only able to drive the LED to 6 watt before the unit became unstable. Part of the test was to turn off and on the input supply without the unit becoming unstable. Any time the output exceeded 6 watts the unit would draw high amps and overheat.
