They seem well made, and robust, but the spring is unnecessarily strong, and there doesn't appear to be any way to get them apart without damaging them, to do anything about it. If you fitted this to the front of a fairly light piece of equipment, you'd have to hold the device still with one hand while you pressed this button, unless it was on the top. I wanted this to replace the octave key on an electronic sax like instrument but it would be useless for that purpose - it takes far too much pressure to push the button so you'd have to hold the instrument with the other hand while you did it. Middle and high C# wouldn't be possible at all. For an emergency stop button on a lathe, or for launching an ICBM strike to initiate World War III, this would be fine. For many other purposes, not so good.
