Bought 2 of these to use with my Ford Focus Mk1 1999. The transponder chips are small ceramic ones, which are not compatible with my car. I managed to grind part of the circuit board away and join the antenna with a bit of wire. Then I used my original glass transponder chip from my key which now fits. The first time I tried to program the central locking remote it wouldn't work, but I found that the battery connections were bent out of place and didn't make contact with the battery. Once I bent them slightly, it programmed without a problem and all three buttons work perfectly. The range seems to be the same as the original Ford keys, but the buttons are much nicer and have a positive click when pressed. Bit of hassle about the transponder, but very good value as I only had to get the key blades cut.
