The camera comes short when the lighting conditions rapidly change as the other reviewers stated. However, the image is nice and crisp, no complaints there. If anyone is interested in adding OSD feature to the camera: Hold the camera normally (The antenna should point upwards). At the back side of the camera, under the switches and buttons, there are three pins. - The pin on the left hand side is the video signal (this is for the OSD) - The pin in the middle is positive, and the the pin on the right hand side is ground. You should disconnect the video pin between camera and transmitter, then solder a cable to the camera (Vout) and another to the transmitter (Vin) . Connect those cables to an OSD board, and that's it.

The 1200TVL camera displays a beautiful image, which limits raster effects and "stairs" in the diagonals. The sensitivity is 0.001 lux. This translates into excellent low light performance. Its default transmit power is 25mW, but it is possible to upgrade to 200mW with a Dip switch. Another allows to choose between a broadcast in PAL or NTSC. It is also possible to invert the image, convenient if you plan to place the camera under a multirotor.

Does not react very well to light changes. I would prefer a tx02 for the same price over this one. The only reason I purchased this kind is because of the crash proof antenna. I have crashed many times and even with a cage over a typical cloverleaf AIO they would have been bent. This one will keep going and works the best under bright or sun shiny days and not much low light. I don't believe however that it is 1200 tvl and the range seems to be about the same on 25mw or 200mw. There isn't much difference and this camera doesn't get hot very easily.

Better being using it on a fast quad or plane as it needs air flow to keep from frying itself, even @ 25mW. Image is good and hook-up is easy. Having 48 ch @ 5.8Ghz gives it diversity of use with most googles, etc. The 25mW TX breaks up fairly close (20-25 yds in clear area using diversity monitor with both RH CP clover leaf and Spiral antenna. 200 mW TX would be a better signal but the high temp will fry it in minutes I'm afraid. FOV is excellent for racing quads.
