I was suprised by the quality of this micrometer caliper. The box is pure crap though, but this is a tradeoff I can live with. The tool is well designed, precise and repeatable (it really goes back to zero), probably more than my needs. Good thing to have when a regular vernier calipers will not be enough (i.e. on rare occasions), but for some weird reason I always wanted one, and I am glad I got this one (but for the crappy plastic box that came with a broken lid, sadly -- I do not care much as I will probably redo the box).
